Located in Likasi, Katanga, DRC, and covering a total area of 9.35km2, Kamoya Copper & Cobalt Mine is an asset controlled by Wanbao Mining. JCHX established Kamoya Copper Mine Project in 2019, and Kamoya is its second capital construction project in DRC.

Currently, the scope of work includes a 4200m decline for heavy duty vehicles, a 3900m decline for light duty vehicles, a 900m service decline and totally 4800m of stoping works. Mobilization started in April 2019 and work commenced in June 2019.

The project team values the concept of “safety first and best quality”. They will spare no efforts to build Kamoya Copper & Cobalt Mine a model project by fully utilizing the advantages and experiences from past 20+ years in overseas market.

In Aug 2022, the Cooperation Agreement for Mining at Deep Orebody of Kamoya Copper & Cobalt Mine (ten-year framework cooperation agreement) and the Mining Contract (Phase I) for Deep Orebody at Kamoya Copper & Cobalt Mine (the first construction contract entered under the frame agreement, with two-year project duration) were signed between Beam Mining and Construction SARL (JCHX subsidiary) and La Compagnie Miniere de Kambove Sas, mainly covering the work scope of UG mining, mining preparatory works and relevant support works.
