Description: UG Construction Works (Section 2) at the Lower Block of Cukaru-Peki Copper & Gold Mine

The project, located in Bor City of Serbia, is ranking Top 10 ultra-large copper & gold mines globally with high grade, comprising of upper block and lower block. JCHX has successively undertook the development of Timok air return shaft, decline and level drift at the upper block and was awarded with UG mining development and production operation following the successful commencement of production in October 2021. The project won high recognition from the Employer for its excellent performance in production safety, construction progress and work quality.

The work scope mainly includes the development of 1# air intake shaft (1168m deep and Φ7.5m), 2# air return shaft (1147m deep and Φ8.5m), extraction level, undercut level, air return level, service chambers and mining preparation works, with a total duration of 1844 days. Advanced equipment and machines are equipped for such independent development system such as drilling jumbo, large LHD, mine truck and hydraulic shaft jumbo, and future mining will be carried out through block caving method.
